Event Descriptions
Range Maintenance – The range is closed for shooting to allow OTOW and the Range Maintenance team safe access to the range.
Orientation & Safety Training – During this session a new member will complete their club application, and waivers. A review of the range safety rules will be given. The members will then demonstrate their ability to safely shoot at the 10 yard target. The training activity has priority on Target lanes 15 and 16 during this time. Kyudo Practice – The art of Kyudo requires the use of multiple lanes and the shooting process can take up to 5 minutes per end. During this time the Kyudo archers have priority use of lanes 1 and 2. Practice time is 2:00-4:00 pm. every Wednesday except the 4th Wednesday of the month when Kyudo is at Arbors Dance #4 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Contact Brenda at 443-691-5061 or brenda@gcfonline.com
Freestyle Friday – From 9:00am till 12:00 pm - Novice to intermediate archers are invited to the range for training and mentoring. There will be members there to assist as requested. We will address general archery questions, recommend exercise relevant to archery, review equipment condition, assess shooting form, etc. Hope to see you there. Sport Specific Training for Archery—May 20th 10 till noon at Hobby Bldg. Event room. The classroom presentation will discuss
specific training needs for Archery. There will be a demonstration of exercises and training aids. Discussion is encouraged and an
opportunity to try the training aids will be provided. In June there will be a workshop at the Arbor Fitness center (June 17th) based on Specific Training for Archers. Instructor will be Chuck.
Fundamentals of Archery Workshop--- This workshop will be on May 12th at 10am. The topic will be “Introduction to Olympic
